San Diego State rips Northern Arizona
SAN DIEGO -- Malcom Thomas scored 21 points, and San Diego State scored 23 of the first 25 points in an 89-48 rout of Northern Arizona on Saturday.
The Aztecs (4-2) made 11 of 15 shots and held the Lumberjacks (2-3) without a basket for the first 81/2 minutes as they took a 23-2 lead.
• Air Force 68, Charleston Southern 58 -- At Air Force Academy, Colo., Grant Parker had 25 points and 11 rebounds to spark the Falcons (3-1) past the Buccaneers (3-2).
• Hampton 78, Wyoming 67 -- At Laramie, Wyo., Vincent Simpson scored 34 points as the Pirates (1-5) defeated the Cowboys (2-4) in the World Vision Basketball Challenge.
• Louisiana Tech 68, Texas Christian 63 -- At Fort Worth, Texas, Kyle Gibson scored 13 points to lift the Bulldogs (5-1) past the Horned Frogs (4-3).
