Strong pitching powers 51s to road win over Express

The 51s got solid pitching from Sean O’Sullivan and Jesse Chavez in a 4-1 victory over the Round Rock Express on Monday night in Round Rock, Texas.

O’Sullivan (12-5) allowed one run on five hits and a walk, with two strikeouts, in 5 2/3 innings. Chavez followed with 3 1/3 perfect innings, including three strikeouts.

Mike McDade had a first-inning RBI single, and Jack Cust’s fifth-inning grounder led to a throwing error that provided the game-winning run. Ricardo Nanita added a two-run homer in the eighth for Las Vegas (65-51).

Mike McCoy went 2-for-5 with two runs scored for the 51s.
