Lady Rebels top Air Force for first MWC win

The UNLV women's basketball team beat Air Force 63-52 in a Mountain West Conference game Saturday at Cox Pavilion.

Sandrine Nzeukou had 11 points and 14 rebounds for the Lady Rebels (8-10, 1-3 MWC), and Mia Bell scored 13 points. Tia Morrison added 10 points for UNLV.

The Lady Rebels never trailed after the first two minutes, but the Falcons (5-11, 0-3) didn't make it easy. UNLV led 34-29 at halftime and built the lead to 57-44 with five minutes remaining.

But UNLV then went scoreless for four minutes as Air Force made an 8-0 run to get within 57-52. The Lady Rebels made six straight free throws to seal the win.
