Nevada regents still reviewing Chris Beard’s contract

The University of Nevada Board of Regents has not scheduled the special meeting to discuss the contract for new UNLV basketball coach Chris Beard, and the deal has not been posted online.

Regents chairman Rick Trachok said in an email Friday the contract goes through a newly created review process. If the review is completed by Monday, a special meeting will be scheduled for Friday. If the review is finished Tuesday or Wednesday, the meeting will be April 12.

Beard was hired after one season at Arkansas-Little Rock. His contract is expected to be for five years and around $900,000 to $1 million.
