UNLV line coach John Garrison leaves for Florida Atlantic

Updated January 23, 2018 - 11:23 am

Offensive line coach John Garrison has left UNLV to take the same position on Florida Atlantic’s football staff.

In an ironic move, a source close to the UNLV program said Garrison will be replaced by Garin Justice, who was the offensive line coach at FAU last season.

Justice had left FAU after the 2017 season to take a similar position with the University of Arizona. However, earlier this month the Arizona coaching staff was dismissed in the wake of the scandal involving head coach Rich Rodriguez, who was fired following a multi-million dollar lawsuit by his former administrative assistant.

Garrison handled the line the past three seasons at UNLV, coming over to the Rebels after spending four years at his alma mater, Nebraska.
