Farrell Victor rushed for 173 yards and scored three touchdowns to carry Las Vegas to a 49-12 home victory over rival Rancho in the annual “Bone Game” on Thursday night.
Victor came into the game averaging 13.8 yards per carry, and six of his 14 carries went for 10 or more yards. He ran for TDs of 3 and 12 yards, and also returned a punt 59 yards for a score.
In the second quarter Victor broke a 39-yard run to the Rancho 3, setting up his first TD for a 21-6 lead for the No. 4 Wildcats (8-0, 6-0 Northeast League).
Victor had a 70-yard touchdown run called back on the Wildcats’ next drive, but Las Vegas still drove 70 yards, capped by a 29-yard pass from Hasaan Henderson to Andrew Moreland.
After a Las Vegas onside kick backfired and set up Rancho at the Wildcats 49, Will Gosse-Gardet hit Joel Fluhrer with a 12-yard TD pass for Rancho.
Victor’s 59-yard punt return came after Rancho’s first possession of the half, and his 5-yard TD followed his own 60-yard run late in the third quarter.
Henderson completed 8 of 10 passes for 109 yards and three touchdowns, and he also rushed for 75 yards and a TD.
