Downtown Las Vegas ramp to be restricted through Sept. 28

Updated September 18, 2017 - 7:24 pm

A heavily used freeway ramp will be restricted for overnight work through Sept. 28 as crews complete some bridge construction in downtown Las Vegas, the Nevada Department of Transportation said.

The ramp linking northbound Interstate 15 to southbound U.S. Highway 95 will be narrowed to one lane from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly from Tuesday to Sept. 28, NDOT spokesman Tony Illia said. All lanes on the ramp will be open during daytime hours.

The restriction is needed for bridge construction over Symphony Park Avenue as part of the $1 billion Project Neon, a 3.7-mile-long widening of Interstate 15 from the U.S. 95 interchange to Sahara Avenue.
