Police believe man fatally struck in hit and run

A man’s body was found on the side of the road in southwest Las Vegas Friday morning, according to police.

Police spokesman Lawrence Hadfield said the man was discovered just after 10 a.m. and might have been involved in a hit and run accident.

His identity will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Las Vegas police and Nevada Highway Patrol are investigating the scene.

Blue Diamond Road has reopened after being closed for about two hours in both directions between Durango and Cimarron roads.
