Sweet Tomatoes plans to support Easter Seals Southern Nevada by offering a free bag of cookies and a coupon toward each diner’s next visit as a thank you for making a donation of $2 or more during June.

Over the last four years, Sweet Tomatoes has donated more than $119,000 to help Easter Seals locations across the country in its mission to help people with disabilities and other challenges.

The money raised will go directly to the Easter Seals services that assist nearly 6,000 Southern Nevada residents living with disabilities.

Participating locations in the Las Vegas Valley are at 375 N. Stephanie St., Henderson, 933-1212; 2080 N. Rainbow Blvd., 648-1957; and 9460 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 100, 242-0277.

Postrio Bar & Grill offers

Wolfgang Puck’s Postrio Bar & Grill in The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, 3355 Las Vegas Blvd. South, is offering locals 20 percent off their total food purchase now through Sept. 30.

Purchase tickets now for Yearlong beer festival coming in October

The Las Vegas World Beer Fest is scheduled to be open every Thursday through Sunday for one year beginning Oct. 13.

The international Oktoberfest-style showcase of micro brews, stouts, ales and more is set to take place from noon to 11 p.m. at the southwest corner of Flamingo Road and Koval Lane behind Bally’s.

The event also is set to feature live performances from Las Vegas-based and international bands, an above-ground swimming pool to keep patrons cool, an above-ground spa, fresh food and celebrities from the United States behind some of the taps.

The entrance fee will be $10, and only 5,000 tickets will be available per day. Package deals including ffod and beer tastings also are available.

Roy’s Wine Club to meet

Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine, 620 E. Flamingo Road, plans to host a waina hui (wine club) tasting from 5 to 6:30 p.m. the third Friday of the month. The next one is set for June 17.

Andre’s plans wine dinner with Whitehall Lane Winery

Andre’s Restaurant & Lounge at the Monte Carlo, 3770 Las Vegas Blvd. South, plans to host a wine dinner featuring Whitehall Lane Winery on June 24.

The evening will begin with cocktails at 6:30 p.m. in the Lounge, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. in a private dining room at Andre’s.

The menu includes heirloom tomato and cucumber gelee and chilled Peruvian scallop with caviar and globe artichoke paired with Whitehall Lane Sauvignon Blanc. The next course will be sweet corn soup and foie gras with king crab and Okinawa potato crisp served with Whitehall Lane Chardonnay, followed by Berkshire pork belly, Tarbais bean, summer truffle and frisee paired with Whitehall Lane Merlot. Grapefruit sorbet with mineral water and mint oil will be followed by the main course of prime rib-eye featuring bone marrow with cassis and beef jus paired with Whitehall Lane Reserve Cabernet. Dessert will be Cherimoya frappe with sweet basil seeds and a summer berry tartlet with lemon verbena and wildflower honey served with Whitehall Lane Dessert Wine.

The weekly events will feature Island Time small plates and cocktails, specialty rum drinks from the restaurant’s collection of more than 175 rums and live music.

Quinn’s Irish Pub inside Green Valley Ranch Resort, 2300 Paseo Verde Parkway, recently launched its first pub menu, serving lunch and dinner daily.

The menu includes twists on hearty, traditional Irish and English pub dishes. All items are $8 or less. Traditional dishes include bangers and mash and shepherd’s pie. Unique items include Irish egg rolls, corned beef, sautéed cabbage and spicy brown mustard dipping sauce; and Irish pizza skins, homemade pizza dough filled with a traditional Irish potato preparation called colcannon, consisting of mashed potatoes, leeks and cabbage, topped with corned beef.
