Memphis Championship Barbecue founder on Food Network show
Mike Mills, owner of 17th Street Bar & Grill and founder of Memphis Championship Barbecue, recently appeared on the Food Network show "Best Thing I Ever Ate."
To celebrate, Memphis Championship Barbecue is offering the Rack 'em Up Rewards promotion all summer. Patrons have the chance to earn free Naked Rib dinners and a chance to win an Apple iPad2. The promotion runs now through Sept. 5.

Project Dinner table set for Saturday
Project Dinner Table plans to host an event Saturday at the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Orchard, 4600 Horse Drive.
Cocktails are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and the dinner for 7:30 p.m. Chefs from chef Mario Batali's team at B&B Ristorante and Enoteca Otto Pizzeria at The Venetian and Carnevino Italian Steakhouse at the Palazzo plan to prepare the meal.
Each dinner has guests seated together at a long table and lasts approximately four hours. It includes cocktails and coffee, the meal, entertainment, a gift bag and a philanthropic donation.

Terzetto changes to Anthony's Steakhouse at M resort
The M Resort, 12300 Las Vegas Blvd. South, has changed Terzetto Restaurant and Oyster Bar to Anthony's Steakhouse.
Anthony's Steakhouse, named after Anthony A. Marnell III, president of the M Resort, will offer a traditional menu with a casual ambience.
The menu includes appetizers such as Anthony's Shellfish Bounty with lobster, shrimp, king crab and oysters on ice and desserts such as peanut butter pie and Anthony's Signature Milke Chocolate Souffle.
Wines are available by the bottle, half-bottle and glass, with glass prices ranging from $8 to $20.
The lounge features 50 seats, multiple television screens and a full bar. Anthony's Oyster Bar offers fresh-from-the-ocean seafood served with bistro-style flair and made-to-order creations including soups, stews, pan favorites, oysters on the half shell and seafood salads.
Hours are from 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Happy hour features specially priced appetizers from 5 to 7 p.m. nightly in the bar and lounge.

Andre's plans wine dinner with Whitehall Lane Winery
Andre's Restaurant & Lounge at the Monte Carlo, 3770 Las Vegas Blvd. South, plans to host a wine dinner featuring Whitehall Lane Winery on Friday.
The evening will begin with cocktails at 6:30 p.m. in the Lounge, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. in a private dining room at Andre's.
The menu includes heirloom tomato and cucumber gelee and chilled Peruvian scallop with caviar and globe artichoke paired with Whitehall Lane Sauvignon Blanc. The next course will be sweet corn soup and foie gras with king crab and Okinawa potato crisp served with Whitehall Lane Chardonnay, followed by Berkshire pork belly, Tarbais bean, summer truffle and frisee paired with Whitehall Lane Merlot. Grapefruit sorbet with mineral water and mint oil will be followed by the main course of prime rib-eye featuring bone marrow with cassis and beef jus paired with Whitehall Lane Reserve Cabernet. Dessert will be Cherimoya frappe with sweet basil seeds and a summer berry tartlet with lemon verbena and wildflower honey served with Whitehall Lane Dessert Wine.

Wine radio show host Les Kincaid plans to instruct a series of wine classes from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on specific days in June and July.
Spanish Wines & Tapas is scheduled for June 28 at the Ferguson Bath & Kitchen Gallery, 4175 S. Grand Canyon Drive, No. 109. Students will learn about Spanish wines and pairing them with tapas. The cost is $55 per person.

The Rumor Boutique Resort, 455 E. Harmon Ave., plans to host Yappy Hour for dog owners and their pooches from 5 to 8 p.m. June 30 and July 7.

Sweet Tomatoes plans to support Easter Seals Southern Nevada by offering a free bag of cookies and a coupon toward each diner's next visit as a thank you for making a donation of $2 or more during June.
Over the last four years, Sweet Tomatoes has donated more than $119,000 to help Easter Seals locations across the country in its mission to help people with disabilities and other challenges.
The money raised will go directly to the Easter Seals services that assist nearly 6,000 Southern Nevada residents living with disabilities.

The Las Vegas World Beer Fest is scheduled to be open every Thursday through Sunday for one year beginning Oct. 13.
The international Oktoberfest-style showcase of micro brews, stouts, ales and more is set to take place from noon to 11 p.m. at the southwest corner of Flamingo Road and Koval Lane behind Bally's.
The event also is set to feature live performances from Las Vegas-based and international bands, an above-ground swimming pool to keep patrons cool, an above-ground spa, fresh food and celebrities from the United States behind some of the taps.
