Action slow in the first hour WSOP

Play has been slow after about an hour of action at the final table of the $10,000 buy-in No Limit Hold’em World Championship event at the Rio.

The first chip stack hit of the day came on third hand when Joseph Cheong took about 7.8 million in chips from Matt Jarvis. Cheong made an all-in call on the river card and Jarvis mucked his hand. Cheong solidified his third place position while Jarvis fell from 6th to 9th place.

Jason Senti, who began the day in 9th, slowly moved up in the chip count and was in 7th place, adding some 4 million in chips to his stack.
