American West debuts new homes

American West is offering its newest generation of homes at two new communities in the southwestern valley.

Featuring open and flexible floor plans and gourmet kitchens, these homes are located in the builder's Brookfield and Carmel Hills neighborhoods.

Homes at Brookfield and Carmel Hills range from 1,608 to 2,995 square feet and prices start at $197,500.

Some stand-out features in the Brookfield and Carmel Hills home collections include: granite countertops; gourmet kitchens with center dining islands; Whirlpool microwave; water-conserving Moen faucets with coordinating accessories and light fixtures; Marblestone natural stone vanities, Marblestone spa showers. The homes also include energy-saving features that earned American West homes the NV Energy Plus certification.

The homes feature great rooms, dens, bonus and game rooms and options for double master suites, depending on the floor plan.

Brookfield at Coronado Ranch offers five different home designs for homebuyers.

Coronado Ranch is one of the fastest growing areas of the valley and is located near shopping, dining, a new library and recreational outlets.

Carmel Hills features eight different home designs. It is a complete community comprised of an enclave of private, cul-de-sac streets. The location provides amenities within walking distance of the community.

Homeowners have a wide selection of dining, department stores, specialty stores and unique boutiques. There is also freeway access.

The Plan 2714 at Brookfield and the Platinum Emerald at Carmel Hills is one of the more flexible floor plans, according to Canarelli.

It is available in a two-story and split-level version. The two-story home measures 2,034 square feet and has four bedrooms, 2½ baths, great room, upstairs laundry and the option for a den.

The split-level version features a BRAG space and measures 2,714 square feet with three bedrooms, den and bonus room.

The BRAG space is a new design concept that is unique to American West. The feature allows homebuyers to add living space in their new homes. The standard BRAG space is an oversized bonus room. Other options include adding a fourth bedroom with the bonus room or adding two additional bedrooms with a study and bath.
