U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle will report tomorrow her campaign had $96,100 in cash on hand at the end of 2009.
Earlier today, Angle reported to date she has raised $582,941 for her quest to challenge Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., including $368,941 in the fourth quarter.
Angle is one of as many as nine Republicans in the primary and is behind Las Vegas businessman Danny Tarkanian and former Nevada GOP chairwoman Sue Lowden in statewide polls.
A fundraising e-mail Angle sent Tuesday indicates the campaign is pressing hard for funds to pay bills.
Under the subject line "Prayer and Praises", Angle wrote:
The[se] prayer[s] remain:
— urgent … funding (I must raise $10,700 by the end of this week to pay our bills. I will be calling those who have given to me in the past for their help. Pray that they are receptive to my call and able to send the money).
— Pray for national exposure that will help bring in the recognition and funding.
— Pray for inside contacts with the national conservative news and talk shows.
When asked about the urgency of the pitch, Angle spokesman Jerry Stacy said, "The campaign is always going to have bills. The bills are getting paid."
