Asian Chamber of Commerce endorses congressional candidate Danny Tarkanian

Congressional candidate Danny Tarkanian on Wednesday drew the endorsement of the Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce.

The Republican candidate Tarkanian will square off against Democrat Jacky Rosen for Nevada’s 3rd Congressional district in the Nov. 8 general election.

Tarkanian runs a real estate investment company and co-founded a youth basketball academy.

Tarkanian said in a statement that “Washington must do better for hard-working business owners,” noting costs created by “regulations and red tape.”

“I’m honored to have the endorsement of the Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce because as a business-owner and commercial real estate developer I understand the challenges facing job-creators in Southern Nevada,” Tarkanian said.

He is one of a few GOP candidates the chamber has endorsed in the past month, including U.S. Rep. Joe Heck in his bid to represent Nevada in the Senate and Rep. Cresent Hardy, who is running for re-election in the 4th Congressional district.
