Builder offers financial incentives at The Cottages

William Lyon Homes' recent announcement of a special move-in package at The Cottages at Centennial Ranch has propelled interest in the gated North Las Vegas neighborhood among home shoppers seeking new homes, according to sales agent Mary Layton.

"The two-story homes at The Cottages are beautiful inside and out and offer fabulous prices starting from $112,000," Layton said. "They are just waiting for the perfect family.

"Right now, buyers will enjoy incredible savings on our homes through our current move-in specials of window coverings, a washer and dryer, and a stainless steel refrigerator and microwave oven included with each home purchased. You can buy a turn-key home with everything that you need already there when you move in," she said.

"Qualified buyers can lower their out-of-pocket expenses even more through an incentive of up to 3 percent in closing costs using the seller's preferred lender," Layton said. "Plus, we have several quick move-in homes available with very special pricing."

The current home of the week is a Plan Two design, normally priced from the $120,000s but available fully loaded with upgraded features for $112,000. This 1,460-square-foot home features three bedrooms, 2½ baths and a two-car garage.

Three additional floor plans are available at the gated neighborhood. The two-story designs measure from 1,335 to 1,776 square feet and feature three or four bedrooms, 2½ baths and two-car garages.

According to Layton, buyers enjoy additional savings through William Lyon Homes' inclusion of features such as granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchens, as well as cultured-marble countertops with scalloped sinks in the baths.

Residents also enjoy the convenience of maintenance-free front-yard landscaping.

"Many of our buyers like the fact that a homeowners' association maintains all front-yard landscaping and that they don't have to worry about weeding or doing yard work. This is great if you don't like to do yard work or if you don't live there year-round. It also offers a peace of mind for military personnel who are deployed."

"The Cottages is just a wonderful gated neighborhood with beautifully landscaped open space. I always see families enjoying our 3½-acre community park and its playing field, tot lot and covered picnic area. There are walking trails throughout and it's just a very beautiful, quiet community," Layton said.

"The neighborhood is in a fabulous location in North Las Vegas with brand-new eateries, restaurants and shopping nearby as well as a new YMCA that just opened," she said. "Plus, our location allows convenient access to both the northern 215 beltway and Interstate 15 which is great for getting to other areas in the city, especially for those stationed at Nellis Air Force Base and those working at the nearby veterans' hospital."

To visit The Cottages, take the northern Las Vegas Beltway to Losee Road and travel south. Head west on Centennial Parkway, south on Bruce Street and then west on Azure Avenue, following the signs to the gated entrance.

The sales office is open daily from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. except Monday, when it opens at noon.

William Lyon Homes is constructing six additional neighborhoods in Southern Nevada where homes measure from 1,514 to 3,068 square feet. Other neighborhoods include The Crossings in the northwestern valley, Fields in the Aliante master-planned community, The Commons in North Las Vegas, West Park Courtyards in Summerlin, Tularosa in Mountain's Edge, and Series I in the Mountain Falls master-planned community in Pahrump.
