An idea to help local teachers in need of a vehicle has expanded to include three other key components, thanks to a promotion started recently by a pair of Centennial Auto Center salespeople.
The program, led by sales consultants Frank Braccia and Andrew Doleman, now specializes in helping teachers, as well as firefighters, postal service workers and law enforcement officers.
The dealership offers a variety of vehicles that suit many needs, including the Buick, GMC and Mazda lines.
From now through March 1, anyone employed by the Clark County School District, U.S. Postal Service, Southern Nevada fire or law enforcement agencies will receive $500 when purchasing a new or preowned vehicle.
“This is the first time that we have utilized a program like this, and are foreseeing big results,” said Frank Braccia . “It’s very important to help people in each of the categories we have selected. They’re all members of very important elements of our community.”
Dealership General Manager Tim Donnelly praised the program.
“With the underfunding of our teachers, firefighters, postal workers and law enforcement officers, it’s so important to help them back,” said Donnelly, who has been in the car business for more than 37 years. “With cutbacks coming from every direction – and especially in the four categories we have selected – I cannot stress enough the importance of making sure they all have vehicles .”
Recent sales have already proven the program successful.
Sheila and Frank Heidt, retired law enforcement officers from the Metropolitan Police Department, bought a 2013 GMC Sierra while Clark County School District teacher Michael Singh purchased a 2012 Mazda 3.
“Sheila and Frank were delightful people to deal with,” Braccia said. “They left here and immediately took a road trip to Montana in their brand-new truck. A few days later, they returned to pick up their green slip, and their son and daughter were interested in buying a car, as well.”
Doleman is equally impressed with the program.
“I just sold a 2012 Mazda 3 Grand Touring to Michael Singh,” Doleman said. “He’s a history teacher and he was elated with his deal. We’re expecting more teachers to follow Michael in the future.”
Centennial Auto Center is at 6525 Centennial Center Blvd. The dealership is part of Super Store Auto Group that includes five dealerships in Southern Nevada and more than 26 nationwide.
