Joseph and Sarah Smith said they planned their move to Aliante, a master-planned community in North Las Vegas, well in advance.
According to the former residents of Washington State, they were familiar with the lifestyle of Del Webb’s aged-qualified Sun City communities and loved the location of Aliante, which is home to Sun City Aliante and close to where their daughter lives.
“We actually started looking at Aliante and Sun City Aliante long before we retired and moved here,” said Sarah Smith.
“We looked online, got a lot of information in advance and visited several times.”
The Smiths moved into their new Sun City Aliante home last September and said they have enjoyed getting to know their neighborhood and neighbors, along with getting to know their parks and walking trails along Nature Discovery Park.
“We love the beauty of the park and the entire community,” Joseph Smith said. “There are community events such as concerts, movies and other happenings … And when there are no events going on, it is wonderful just to visit the park, relax and enjoy the scenery.”
Sarah Smith said one of the best aspects of Sun City Aliante is the friendly environment it promotes.
In the short time they have lived in the community, they have made friends with many of their neighbors, who come from diverse backgrounds.
According to Smith, with social opportunities so close at hand, she and Joseph plan to join the community’s social clubs and learn to play golf.
“We’re very happy with our decision to purchase a home in Aliante and in Sun City Aliante,” she said. “There are so many benefits to living here and as development continues, it just gets better.”
The 1,900-acre community is a development of North Valley Enterprises LLC, an affiliate of American Nevada Co.
Home builders in the community include Astoria Homes, Del Webb, KB Home, Lennar, Pardee Homes and Pulte Homes.
Home prices range from the upper $100,000s to the upper $600,000s.
As many as 428 acres include the Aliante Golf Club, the 20-acre Nature Discovery Park, Deer Springs Park, Aviary Park.
Nearly 100 acres are allocated for commercial development, including a planned, 40-acre resort gaming hotel, adjacent to Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway.
