Democrat challenges Titus

Retired businessman, Navy veteran and Democrat John Beard of North Las Vegas is challegning for the congressional seat held by Rep. Dina Titus, D-Nev.

According to Federal Election Commission filings, Beard's paperwork was received Dec. 28. Link to paperwork.

Beard bills himself as a conservative Democrat. His Web site says he supports lower taxes, is pro-life and in favor of reducing the federal deficit.
