There is Chinese food, and then there is New York-style Chinese food that has a certain taste that everyone loves. And no matter which New York-style Chinese dish you love, you’ll find it at China Wok. Among the chef’s specialties are orange beef, General Tso’s chicken, Hong Kong pan-fried noodles, Kung Pao combination, sesame chicken and Happy Family, a combination of chicken, beef, shrimp, scallops and roast pork with Chinese vegetables. Other popular entrees are curry shrimp with onion, moo shu chicken, Hunan pork, shrimp and scallops with broccoli, pepper steak, beef chop suey, sweet and sour combo, hot and spicy pork and cashew chicken. There is egg foo yong, teriyaki, vegetables with rice, chow fun (flat rice noodles), chow mein (soft noodles), fried rice and soups such as egg drop, hot and sour, seafood, chicken noodle and wonton. Fun appetizers include paper-wrapped chicken, vegetable or roast pork egg roll, pan-fried dumplings, boneless spare ribs and the always popular pu pu platter. Lunch specials ($5.95) are served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Entrees begin at $7.95.
