ELECTION ‘RACE’ WRAPUP: Obama ‘half white’

President-elect Barack Obama is so popular that some whites now claim him as one of their own.
Following a recent column on race and the historic election, e-mail writer Michele got ticked off at me for leaving out something she thought was important.
She wrote, “As long as you have made your column about race, I need to point out, as no one seems to be doing, that Barack Obama is also HALF WHITE. Why is this fact not being addressed … or being disregarded is more like it?”
Who can argue with that logic … or make up this stuff?
