Employee buys preowned Elantra from Planet Hyundai Centennial

Jessica Dilling has joined a long list of Planet Hyundai Centennial employees that have purchased a vehicle from the dealership at 6200 W. Centennial Drive in the northwest valley.

Dilling, a native Las Vegan and a graduate of Arbor View High School, purchased a 2007 Elantra through sales consultant Rick Walker.

"Purchasing a preowned vehicle gives young people a chance to establish their credit while also driving a quality vehicle," said Walker, who will mark his 17th year in the business in February. "I have four daughters of my own and I helped get them started, too. Jessica is like a member of my family and it's so satisfying to help her. We also made sure that her purchase came with an extended warranty so that she's protected."

Dilling is employed as an "ups counter" with the dealership and accounts for the walk-in traffic each day. She has been working for the dealership for about three months.

"This is my first full-time job, so I needed a reliable vehicle. With what I've learned about Hyundai's reliability and fuel efficiency and considering that I work for Planet Hyundai, I could not imagine buying any other model of vehicle," she said.

Dilling did her homework before making the purchase.

"The car I had was a '99 Chevy Malibu with a lot of problems. The repairs were getting really expensive; and it was missing a visor. There were a lot of other things that were wrong with the car, so I decided it would cost way too much money to fix the car," she said.

"So I went to General Sales Manager Ernie Leon and then went to Rick and told him to start looking for a good pre-owned vehicle for me. Not long after that, he found me the car and the rest is history."

Dilling said she is thrilled to have a vehicle that has everything.

"It's a newer car and besides that, it has a workable sun visor," she laughed. "The back windows work and so does the cruise control. I just feel better about having a car that I can count on now."

Her experience with her car has been so good, her father is now considering making a purchase. Dilling said her father wants a new SUV and she cannot imagine a better buy than the Hyundai Santa Fe .

"I told him that he really should try a Santa Fe," she said. "I would feel very safe with my parents in a Hyundai."

Dilling said she is happy to be working at the dealership.

" The people here are nice and they treat their employees with respect," she said."
