Final neighborhood in The Vistas selling in Summerlin

Ryland Homes is selling seven home floor plans in Kingwood Knoll in The Vistas village of Summerlin. Floor plans include one- and two- story homes that range from 1,515 to 2,224 square feet. Prices start in the mid $200,000s.

Kingwood is the final neighborhood selling in The Vistas, an 815-acre European-inspired village known for its open space. The village features 50 acres of parks, trails and views of the Las Vegas Valley to the east and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area to the west. In addition, The Vistas is also home to Linda Givens Elementary School and Vista Commons, an Albertsons-anchored neighborhood retail center.

The Vistas has been popular with valley homebuyers seeking a comfortable lifestyle enhanced by surrounding amenities, according to Julie Cleaver, vice president of design and planning for The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin.

"Shopping centers, office space, restaurants, parks, schools, churches and dozens of other amenities are literally located within walking distance of homes located in The Vistas," she said. "It's a wonderfully convenient place to live."

Ryland Homes is a national homebuilder that has built nearly 300,000 homes during its 40-year history. The homebuilder started building homes in Summerlin in 2004 and has nearly 200 homes in the community.

Developed by The Howard Hughes Corp., an affiliate of General Growth Properties Inc., Summerlin began to take shape in 1990.

Located along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley, Summerlin encompasses 22,500 acres with 9,000 still remaining to accommodate future growth within the master plan, including the community's urban core of Summerlin Centre. There are more than 98,000 residents with access to amenities that include more than 150 neighborhood and village parks, more than 150 completed miles of the Summerlin trail system, nine golf courses, a dozen houses of worship, shopping centers, medical and cultural facilities, business parks, 25 public and private schools.

Homes are available in a variety of styles -- from single-family homes to townhomes, condominiums and lofts -- priced from the mid $200,000s to more than $2 million.
