Findlay RV joins with Winnebago Towables to help Breast Cancer Awareness at the Silverton

Executives with Winnebago Towables in Middlebury, Ind., decided several months ago that it was important to help with October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So, the company embarked on Campers for a Cure with pink travel trailers called “Minnies,” one of which was part of Findlay RV’s special sale the weekend of Oct. 23-26 on the Silverton grounds.

“We only built 53 pink Minnies,” said District Sales Manager Jennifer Mink, am Indiana native who has lived in Las Vegas for the past year.

“Winnebago and participating dealers writing a $53,000 check to the American Cancer Society in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.

“It’s been a very good promotion,” she added. “Truckers who have been delivering them for the company are always stopped by people when they’re at truck stops. Breast Cancer Awareness is a very important cause, and that’s evident by the way people react to the program.”

The cause was especially evident during the show at the Silverton, where the 22-foot travel trailer, the brainchild of Winnebago Towables Johnny Hernandez, drew rave reviews and steady traffic.

This travel trailer’s amenities include a queen walk-around bed; a microwave stove and oven; flat-screen television; a radio and DVD player; Bluetooth; light-emitting-diode lights and a power awning, she said.

Mink said the travel trailer comes in several other colors, all available at Findlay RV.

“It was very well-received,” Mink said. “These are limited editions, so the demand will especially be high when the promotion ends. It says a lot about Findlay Automotive Group’s commitment to the community.”

Mink credited Findlay RV General Manager Reuben Figueroa and General Sales Manager John McKibbin for agreeing to show the travel trailer at the show.
