Findlay Toyota wins

The annual Southern Nevada New Car Dealers Association golf tournament was June 1 at Revere Golf Club at Anthem in Henderson.

Hosted by Findlay North Volkswagen, the tournament attracted a field of more than 250 entries with golf carts lined up for as long as the eye could see before a shotgun start.

The tournament was captured by Findlay Toyota while Centennial Toyota finished runner-up during the tournament that drew big names from the car business along with former UNLV basketball great Larry Johnson.

The tournament orchestrated by the staff at Findlay North Volkswagen once again put together a blockbuster program spearheaded by dealership office manager Pam Russell.

Among dealerships represented were several Autonation dealerships, Ed Bozarth Chevrolet, Centennial Hyundai, Planet Hyundai Sahara, Fletcher Jones Toyota, Lexus of Las Vegas, Planet Hyundai Sahara, Henderson Chevrolet, Centennial Hyundai, Findlay Acura, Findlay Cadillac and Findlay Honda Northwest.

Golfers praised the tournament including Greg Stacknick, director of account management for TrueCar.

“It was fantastic,” said Stacknick, who was playing in his first New Car Dealers tournament. “This was a great way to network while also having fun on an awesome golf course at the same time.”

For winning the tournament, Findlay Toyota golfers received first-place prize money of $2,500. The dealership situated in the Valley Automall will host the 2015 tournament.

Capturing the second-place money of $1,500 was the team from Centennial Toyota.
