Fitness blogger posts video showing aftermath of domestic abuse
An Irish fitness blogger posted a video to her Facebook page sharing her story of what she says was repeated domestic violence by her partner.
The video, posted by Emma Murphy and viewed more than 4 million times by Tuesday morning, features the blogger as she speaks about an alleged domestic abuse incident with an apparent black eye.
Murphy claims she discovered her partner and father of her children had been cheating and she broke up with him — that’s when he became violent and hit her.
“Even once is unacceptable,” she says in the video, “but to be made to feel that it is acceptable is even worse. To be made to feel that you’re paranoid or insecure. That’s mental torture, and no man should do that to any woman.”
Murphy said the black eye she has in the video wasn’t an isolated event and hopes the video helps other women who may be in similar situations to stand up against domestic violence.
