Friendly Ford New Truck Manager monitors arrival of all-new F-150
The highly acclaimed 2015 Ford F-150 truck has become one of the most talked-about stories in the car business, and Friendly Ford New Truck Manager Cheryl Thrun is burning up the phone lines to make sure the dealership receives its fair share of the vehicles in the next few weeks.
A four-year employee with Friendly Ford, Thrun has experienced the excitement related to the arrival of the totally redesigned F-150, which has been America’s best-selling truck for more than 37 years.
“The enthusiasm for this truck has been absolutely awesome,” said Thrun, who orders the trucks and handles the advertising and training.

The long list of improvements with the 2015 Ford F-150 includes a the high-strength military grade aluminum alloy bed and body which enables the truck to be up to 700 pounds lighter; thicker body panels to prevent dings and dents; a fully boxed high-strength steel frame that is has been increased from 23 percent to 78 percent from previous generations; and a frame with eight cross members welded on both sides to create a stronger structure.
Ford decided to go big-time with the engine with several to choose from, including the new 2.7 liter EcoBoost V-6 with 325 horsepower and 370 pounds of torque with a standard auto start-stop feature.
Other available engines include the new 3.5-liter Ti-VCT V6 with 282 horsepower and 253 pounds of torque, a 5.0-liter TI-VCT V-8 with 385 horsepower and 387 pounds of torque; and the 3.5-liter Ecoboost V-6 with 365 horsepower and 420 pounds of torque.
Other new additions to the F-150 include the new look of “Ford Tough” that features a chiseled grill; inverted power dome hood and redesigned head lamps and grill; tailgate spoiler design; and a body that is 1.5 inches wider with the Ford Tough stance and/or presence.
“This truck will get you anywhere you want to go, ranging from Duck Creek, Utah, in the winter; to Death Valley in the summer,” Thrun said.
“We feel comfortable selling the F-150 to our customers because it literally has everything the customer wants from technology to safety and security features along with the all-new redesign that will make its mark big-time.”
