Friendly Ford supports Paws for Cause adoption event

Friendly Ford and The Animal Foundation will present the Paws for the Cause, a pet adoption event, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Friendly Ford on Decatur Boulevard just off U.S. Highway 95.

“Friendly Ford has a great relationship with The Animal Foundation from all the Paws for the Cause pet adoption events that we do. It is imperative that we get all these dogs and cats adopted this weekend, but even more important is to get the word out about spaying and neutering your animals,” Friendly Ford General Manager Jason Davis said. “The Animal Foundation takes in 50,000 animals a year. Friendly Ford wants to do its part and help find homes for these beautiful animals and it will be done. If you’re even interested in a pet come to Friendly Ford tomorrow.”

All pets adopted at Friendly Ford Saturday are spayed or neutered and up to date on shots.

Plus there will be pet gift bags at the event with leashes, dog bowls, rope toys, chew toys, Frisbees and more given away with every pet adoption. Also, everyone who adopts a pet that day will receive a complimentary mini studio portrait session from Pet’ographique.

Citizen Protection Dog Club and Rescue will do live on-leash obedience demonstrations and MP K9 All Breed Dog Training will offer 25 percent discounts to any adopter who signs up for a training package.

The Animal Foundation’s spay and neuter trailer also will be on hand at Friendly Ford and Dr. Sam Lynch of the Desert Inn Animal Hospital and Warm Springs Animal Hospital will be on hand offering free microchipping for everyone courtesy of Friendly Ford.

The Animal Foundation’s mission is to inspire and enable people to join the fight against pet overpopulation. Services offered include pet adoptions, low-cost spay and neuter procedures and vaccination services, and volunteering and foster opportunities.

Friendly Ford is at 660 N. Decatur Blvd. The dealership was recently named a Presidents Award winner for the 13th time, Ford’s highest honor for customer satisfaction.
