HARRIS OUT: State GOP finance chairman resigns

  It’s no big surprise after the beating Nevada Republicans took in the last election, but state GOP Finance Chairman George Harris has informed the party’s executive board that he’s quitting his post to pursue his many business interests.

  His e-mail: “Hello everyone, tough election cycle for us … hopefully Republicans will go back to the basics.  Anyways, one thing is for sure, the party needs to rebuild.  I think it’s important to find new blood … mostly young people, they will have to bring the heart back to our party.  I wanted to say that Zac did a great job for the assets he had available.  I’m sorry to say I won’t be continuing as Finance Chairman, my business responsibilities don’t afford me the time I need to perform the duties as Finance Chair.
