UNION VILLAGE PROJECT HOSTS GROUNDBREAKING IN HENDERSON
On Oct. 8, Union Village LLC and The Valley Health System hosted a ceremonial groundbreaking to kick off construction of the $1.2 billion project, with Valley breaking ground on a new acute care hospital, its sixth in Southern Nevada.

COSTUME SWAP SLATED AT RECREATION CENTER
The city of Henderson is set to host a costume swap shop from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Oct. 11 at the Whitney Ranch Recreation Center, 1575 Galleria Drive. Residents who drop off clean, gently used Halloween costumes at the center through Oct. 9 will receive a ticket to redeem for a costume on Oct. 11. All leftover costumes are set to be donated. FUN AFTER 55 HEALTH EXPO PLANNED AT THE SOUTH POINT
The South Point, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South, plans to host a Fun After 55 Health Expo from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 18. A free Four Tops concert is planned for 6 p.m.
