Hey, Uncle Harry, where’s our Christmas present?
December 24, 2009 - 8:02 am
Sen. Harry Reid tells us that every senator should have put a little gift into the health care "reform" bill for their own state. If they didn't, they were not doing their job.
Then comes Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-"Bitch", who tells Bloomberg news service that every state "got something" in the measure.
So, hey, it's Christmas Eve and so far I don't see a present under the tree in this bill for Nevada.
Of course, no one's been able to look at the secret bill. What we do know at this point is that Nebraska, Louisiana, Florida and Connecticut got some mighty big presents worth billions.
I can't wait to find out what goody Nevada got. After all, our senator is the Big Daddy of the Senate Christmas Committee. It's gotta be spectacular.
Flat screen TVs for every man, woman and child?
New military bases for each Nevada county?
Two military bases per county?
Oh, I know: Lifetime exemptions for Nevada residents and their descendants from federal income tax?
Don't keep us in suspense, Uncle Harry. Tell us what we got.
(By the way, if it's the last one, I will vote for you in 2010. Promise.)
