Hotel Bible, as in MGM and Bill

The news this morning in the Las Vegas Review-Journal about Bill Bible's nomination to become a member of the MGM Mirage Board of Directors, gives me the opportunity to say something I always like to point out when it happens: Good things can and do happen to good people.

Bill Bible's been bumping around Las Vegas in a variety of public issues for decades. (Don't take that personally, Bill. We're all getting older.) He's currently president of the Nevada Resort Association. He has a well-earned reputation of trustworthiness. In my experience, he's a "my-word-is-my-bond" kinda guy and I've never heard  a story to the contrary. Never.

That's sayin' something worth sayin'.
