Illinois couple buys Pardee home

When Illinois natives Aundra Williams and fiancée, Ann Marie Warren, decided to buy a home in Southern Nevada, they first started looking at foreclosed homes.

"We couldn't find anything we liked or that didn't need extensive work," Warren said. "That's when we decided that for the same amount of money, we could buy a new home and Aundra started researching local new home builders."

"I spent a lot of time online researching and narrowed it down to the top builders in the market, which included Pardee Homes," Williams said. "I was impressed by their neighborhood locations and long-term commitment to the community."

The couple's search then led to Pardee Homes' Northpointe in the master-planned Eldorado community in North Las Vegas.

"We toured the Residence One and then the Residence Two and knew we had found our home when we entered the Residence Three. We immediately fell in love with it," Williams said.

The couple moved to Southern Nevada in 2007. Warren is a director for a local nonprofit and Williams is a project manager for a major electrical contractor.

The couple's Residence Three measures 3,515 square feet with as many as five bedrooms and three baths, a den and bonus room, walk-through kitchen pantry and laundry/hobby room.

"We are planning an August wedding and now we can look forward to spending many years together in our new home, which has plenty of space to accommodate our friends and family, including children and grand children from back home," Williams said.

While Pardee is offering the final homes at Northpointe, the builder also offers new homes at Solstice in Aliante.

The gated Solstice neighborhood is located off Aliante Parkway and Nature Park Drive, within walking distance to the 20-acre Nature Discovery Park in Aliante, as well as close to retail and restaurants, schools, the Aliante Library and access to Interstate-215, the Las Vegas Beltway.

The newly opened neighborhood features five floor plan with prices starting from $227,450.

The Solstice floor plans range in size from 2,337 to 3,959 square feet with features including expanded three-car garages, bonus rooms, loft, optional office/library configuration, island kitchens, separate living and dining areas and as many as seven bedrooms.

Homes at Solstice feature the builder's LivingSmart brand that offers standard and optional measures that boost energy efficiency, save water, improve indoor air quality and encourage material conservation and the use of recycled or sustainable resources in new homes.

All Pardee Homes sales offices are open 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday. For more information, visit pardee.homes.com or on Facebook at facebook.com/PardeeHomesLasVegas.
