immigration ‘enforcement’ the Obama way
December 6, 2010 - 7:47 am
After months of talking tough on the political stump about immigration enforcement, somebody on the Obama 2012 team realized that deportations were falling far short of a "record". So, the administration ordered the feds to cut corners to get them over the top.
According to the Washington Post: "Officials quietly directed immigration officers to bypass backlogged immigration courts and time-consuming deportation hearings whenever possible ..."
The hush-hush rush-rush resulted in immigration officers encouraging caught illegals to accept voluntary quick pass to their countries of orgin with no negative mark on their immigration record.
And there you have another ugly example of the form over substance principle that has become a hallmark of this ineffective administration.
