If anyone still is wondering whether this year is going to be rough on political incumbents, consider this: U.S. Sen. Bob Bennett., Republican of Utah, is said to be in trouble.
And in the case of Bennett, he of the 84 percent lifetime score from the American Conservative Union, "the prevailing political winds …. are blowing from the right," according to a report in the Washington Times.
Bennett won his last election with 69 percent of the vote. This year, he’s drawn four primary challengers and the free market advocacy group Club for Growth is gunning for him, too.
