Summerlin’s newest and southernmost village to date is The Mesa, a nearly 500-acre village located south of Tropicana Avenue and west of Hualapai Way in the master-planned community. Currently, more than 20 floor plans offered by three builders are selling in Ladera, the village’s first neighborhood.
Engle Homes offers three floor plans in its Ladera Terrace collection, ranging from 2,031 to 2,574 square feet and priced from the upper $300,000s.
KB Home offers 10 floor plans in its Ladera Ridge and Ladera Crest collections. Homes at Ladera Ridge range from 1,642 to 2,103 square feet and are priced from the upper $200,000s. Homes in the Ladera Crest collection range from 2,388 to 2,883 square feet and are priced from the mid-$300,000s.
Richmond American offers nine floor plans in its Ladera Canyon collection with homes ranging from 1,750 to 2,800 square feet and priced from the upper $300,000s.
According to Julie Cleaver, director of design and planning for The Howard Hughes Corp., an affiliate of General Growth Properties and developer of Summerlin, Ladera is one of Summerlin’s most architecturally diverse neighborhoods. “Each of Ladera’s 22 floor plans is available in multiple architectural styles and color palates,” she said.
Upon completion, Ladera will encompass more than 600 homes. Existing neighborhood amenities include a large park with a swimming pool.
Ladera is one of several neighborhoods planned for The Mesa Village. The 497-acre village will also be home to a large community park, an elementary school and the Bishop Gorman High School campus, which will open for the 2007-2008 school year.
Summerlin, a 22,500-acre master-planned community located along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley, began to take shape in 1990. The community currently is home to more than 95,000 residents.
Homes are available in a variety of styles — from single-family homes to townhomes, condominiums and lofts — priced from the low $200,000s to more than $2 million. Custom home sites in The Ridges are priced from the $500,000s. Luxury apartment homes offer monthly rents starting from the low $1,000s. For more information, visit summerlin.com or call 791-4500.
