Man cited for ‘eating while driving’ in Georgia
An Alabama man says he was given a ticket for “eating while driving” in Georgia.
Madison Turner was eating a hamburger while driving in Marietta when he was pulled over by a Cobb County police officer.
Turner said the officer told him he had observed Turner eating a burger for about two miles, WSB-TV reported.
“He said specifically three times, you can’t just go down the road eating a hamburger,” Turner said.
The officer wrote the ticket under Georgia’s distracted driver law. Under comments, he wrote “eating while driving.”
Turner has a court date of Feb. 3. He plans to fight the ticket.
