Man pistol-whipped during robbery discovers brain tumor

It’s not very often people are thankful after an attack lands them in the hospital, but a Phoenix man is just that because the attack likely saved his life.

Jerimiah Willey, 30, a manager at a Circle K, was pistol-whipped in the head during a robbery on May 24, and after going to the hospital for a head injury, a CT scan revealed a massive and life-threatening brain tumor.

“They said that had this not been found and soon around the time that it was found, that he probably just would have gone to sleep one night and not been able to wake up,” Jerimiah’s wife, Alisha, told KTVK.

According to KTVK, Jerimiah is currently recovering from the first of three surgeries.
