Middle schoolers are picketing for the right to wear leggings
Leggings Policy Divides Evanston School

Students at an Illinois middle school are picketing for the right to wear leggings.
Teachers at Haven Middle School in Evanston, Ill., told female students earlier this month that leggings are “too distracting to boys” to be worn to class. At least 500 students have signed a petition protesting the ban, and some students staged a protest last week by showing up to class in leggings or yoga pants and holding signs that said things like, “Are my pants lowering your test scores?”
District officials have said “the issue will be discussed” to make sure the policy is the same across the board after some students reported feeling picked on because of their body type, according to the Evanston Review.
