Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas, 1401 N. Decatur Blvd., invites residents to become active and heart-healthy for a cause May 21 for its inaugural Indie Fest 5K Fun Run and 1K Walk at Sunset Park, 2601 E. Sunset Road.
Registration is set for 7 a.m., and the race is scheduled to start at 8 a.m.
There will be live music, a car show, sports activities and food vendors.
All registered walkers and runners can purchase event tickets for $10.
All proceeds will be used to help construct EnergyStar and WaterSMART homes for working families in Clark County.
Several pledge teams are accepting new members from the public, and new teams are still allowed to register for the walk.

ArtWalk coming to Trails Village Center this weekend
The 2011 spring ArtWalk is planned from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Trails Village Center, 1970 Village Center Circle.
About 250 artisans from the region will have booths selling jewelry, paintings, household items, photographic art, sculptures, woodwork, wall art, woven items and more. A childrens section, Kids Art Park, will be a feature of the event.

DJs for PJs plans drive for FRIDAY
The ninth annual DJs for PJs event is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday to collect new pajamas for children in crisis and benefit charities throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
Local disc jockeys will encourage donations by broadcasting from five on-site locations, including Kohls at 8671 W. Charleston Blvd.
Local celebrities and elected officials also are involved in the effort to collect pajamas and raise public awareness about the needs of children in distress.
