New releases for Aug. 11

  Among the books coming out this week is “South of Broad” by Pat Conroy. Leopold Bloom King and his parents struggle with the effects of a his brother’s suicide, with Leo becoming a part of a group of high school seniors whose bonds will last through the years, surviving ups and downs, until a final test of friendship for which none is prepared.
  In addition, “The Black Circle” by Patrick Carman is expected out. The latest in “The 39 Clues Series” finds Amy and Dan Cahill on their most dangerous adventure yet.
  Also hitting shelves: “After” by Amy Efaw; “Amigoland” by Oscar Casares; “The Atlantis Revelation” by Thomas Greanias; “Blindman’s Bluff (Peter Decker and Rina Lazarus Series No. 18)” by Faye Kellerman; “The Eleventh Victim” by Nancy Grace; “Hope of Refuge” by Cindy Woodsmall; “Intervention” by Robin Cook; “The Magicians” by Lev Grossman; “The Monster Variations” by Daniel Kraus; “Once on a Moonless Night” by Dai Sijie; “The Rapture” by Liz Jensen; “Sleepless” by Thomas Fahy; and “Smash Cut” by Sandra Brown.
