Cannery Casino Resorts LLC named Aaron Rosenthal general manager of Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel. Rosenthal will be responsible for all operations and management of the Boulder Highway hotel-casino.


Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck expanded its intellectual property team with the addition of S. Craig Hemenway as a shareholder plus 12 employees. Hemenway and his team will counsel clients on identification, protection and management of intellectual property assets, preparing and prosecuting patent applications, enforcing intellectual property rights through litigation and providing infringement and patentability opinions.

Callister + Associates named Steve Immerman managing partner of the new criminal defense division. Immerman previously worked as the chief public defender in the Clark County Public Defenders office.

Duane Morris LLP named Shawanna L. Johnson associate in its Las Vegas office. Johnson will focus primarily on commercial litigation.

Calder Huntington joined the labor and employment and litigation practices of Holland & Hart. Huntington will focus on litigation related to harassment, discrimination, retaliation and wage and hour issues.

The International Association of Gaming Advisors will honor Lionel Sawyer & Collins shareholder Robert D. Faiss at its annual conference during the Global Gaming Expo. The Shannon Bybee Scholarship Awards Committee will recognize longtime committee coordinator Faiss for his work and extensive contributions to IAGA and gaming law.

Fisher & Phillips LLP attorneys Mark Ricciardi and Scott M. Mahoney from the firm’s Las Vegas office are among 81 attorneys firmwide selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2014. Ricciardi and Mahoney specialize in labor and employment law and employee benefits law.

Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada named Chelsea Brown manager of planned giving and special events. Brown will be responsible for outreach strategy, strengthening relationships and gaining supporters.
