Trails, parks and other recreational amenities have been an integral part of the Inspirada master-planned community in Henderson from the earliest planning stages, the project’s developer said.
The new 2,000-acre community in the southern foothills of the valley provides an unparalleled level of recreational opportunities, said John A. Ritter, chairman and chief executive officer of Focus Property Group, which operates as general manager of Inspirada.
Ritter described Inspirada’s atmosphere as balancing the close-knit feeling of traditional city neighborhoods with the conveniences of modern life.
“Inspirada truly is a city within a city, offering residents easy access to schools, community centers, swimming pools, baseball and soccer fields, active and serene parks, restaurants, shopping and more,” Ritter said. “Unlike any other planned communities in the valley, Inspirada homeowners will not have to rely solely on their cars to enjoy all of these amenities because Inspirada is designed for those who love to walk or ride a bike.”
Inspirada has designated more than 300 acres as parks and open space, including more than 20 miles of trails.
Inspirada is composed of seven villages, each featuring a mix of homes in various sizes, floor plans and architectural styles. Each village will have its own distinctive theme, and amenities offered will reflect those themes.
Music is the theme of Solista, Inspirada’s first village, which is already open. Solista has its own park, which includes swimming pools and a tot lot, as well as a community center, performance space and shops.
Ceramista will feature planned activities such as farmer’s markets and craft fairs. Palestra will integrate athletics into the fabric of village life, offering athletics fields and venues such as a community pool complex. Nestled between Ceramista and Palestra will be Balera, a village that celebrates dance.
The village of Esplora neighbors one of the country’s most treasured collections of petroglyphs at Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area and will be the trailhead for this hiking destination. In the Pintura Village, residents will have the opportunity to explore their inner Picasso through activities such as art classes, workshops and contests. Cienza joins Esplora in the pursuit of discovery by focusing on science. Observation points for stargazing and activities at the community center will bring residents together in scientific exploration.
Civita will be the town center of Inspirada with a wide array of dining and shopping outlets and a 1,000-room neighborhood resort and casino. As the hub of Inspirada, Civita is expected to be the site of festivals, concerts and other events that bring residents together.
Connected by and surrounded with 22 miles of walking trails and bicycle paths, tree-lined boulevards and open spaces, Civita will be easily accessible by all residents. Civic amenities such as middle and elementary schools and police and fire stations also will be integrated into the community.
“This area will offer a unique and eclectic mix of residential and commercial components, providing a true urban feel at the heart of Inspirada,” Ritter said.
Inspirada was designed in accordance with the tenets of New Urbanism, which allows residents an opportunity to reclaim the idea of living in neighborhoods that encourage people to enjoy the outdoors and, at the same time, get to know their neighbors.
Henderson city officials and a consortium of home builders and developers have come together to create Inspirada. Project participants include KB Home, Toll Brothers, Focus Property Group, Woodside Homes, Kimball Hill Homes, Pardee Homes, Meritage Homes and Beazer Homes. Combined, the builders will construct 13,500 residences providing homes to nearly 30,000 people.
Inspirada offers five home styles, each with a selection of floor plans and exterior architecture choices. The Estate Homes, which range from 2,200 to 4,400 square feet, are the largest single-family residences available in the community. These homes feature open balconies, wrap-around porches and recessed two- and three-car garages with porte cocheres.
Village Homes vary in size from 1,900 to nearly 3,500 square feet. Front porches with arched or covered entries are featured. Garden Homes are two-story residences ranging from 1,350 to 2,000 square feet and offering front landscaped paseos.
Inspirada offers two additional home styles: City Homes and Mansion Homes. City Homes provide a style of living reminiscent of that found in major metropolitan cities and are available in two- or three-story floor plans ranging from 1,400 to 2,800 square feet. Mansion Homes consist of four residences grouped together under one roof with the external appearance of one home. Individual units vary from 1,400 to 1,700 square feet and include wrap-around porches, private balconies and patios and a shared private motor court with hidden two-car garages.
KB Home, Meritage Homes and Toll Brothers have homes available from 1,300 to more than 4,000 square feet with prices beginning in the high $100,000s.
