PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to View’s pets section. Because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

Chris and Michelle Dunn of Las Vegas shared this photo of Abby, a 16-month-old American pit bull terrier, and Sake (like the drink), a 1-year-old seal point Siamese. “These two are getting ready for another Super Bowl run,” they wrote. “Upon adoption one year ago, they became the newest members of Steeler Nation. Go Steelers!”

Suzanne Petronzi shared this photo of her dog, Grace, 3, and her daughter Nora, 6 months. “To me, there is nothing sweeter than the gentleness of a Lab - and this is captured here,” she wrote. “Nora has two dogs and loves them dearly!”

Cathy and Mike Zenchak of Las Vegas shared this photo of their miniature schnauzers Heidi and Schultzie. “They want to know if it is their turn yet — they love getting a treat from Dad,” they wrote.

Elaine and Taylor Edenburn shared this photo of Spanky. “He has claimed one of the water troughs as his personal cooling station,” they wrote. “We’ve seen him sit there for 30 minutes at a time, daring the other dogs to try and get a drink. He is also a diver — if we throw one of his toys in the larger wading pool, he will go in head-first and not give up until he locates the toy.”
