PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to the View’s pets section. And, because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

Sally and Dick Knuth of Las Vegas shared this photo of Bear, a rescue dog they adopted while living in West Palm Beach, Fla. “He loves going to the dog park behind Sam’s Town,” Sally Knuth wrote. “He loves long walks. We rescued him and he just smiled at me, so we took him home. He thinks he’s a little boy, not a dog. We love him with all of our hearts.”

Randi Tibbetts of Henderson sent this photo of her dogs George and Gracie. “George has been my best friend since he was 9 weeks old,” she wrote. “We adopted Gracie in January 2009. They quickly became best buddies. Now I have two best friends. They love to soak up the sun.”

Carmen Newton of Las Vegas shared this photo of Moses, top step, and his mother, Tynee. “Here are our most beloved Chihuahuas sunbathing on the steps inside the house as the sun peers through the window,” she wrote. “This is their morning ritual.”

“This is our 14-year-old bulldog Prissy,” wrote Bobby and Verlinda Coleman of Las Vegas. “She loves to pose for the camera, especially wearing her blonde wig.”

Twins Angelique and Annelisa Laizure of Las Vegas sent in this photo of their puppy, Souki, who is cuddling with Annelissa’s Christmas blanket. “Souki loves to hog the bed,” they wrote. “She like popcorn, waffles, and of course, dog treats. She is scared of balloons. She is a very silly dog. She HATES baths! Souki thinks she is the one driving when we go on car rides. She looks like Nana in ‘Snow Dogs,’ but is a lot shorter. Souki is so short, sometimes she steps on her ears. She does not like to get her paws wet, so she hates to go out in the rain. She is a really weird dog, but we love her.”
