Planet Hyundai sales consultants salute 2011 Equus

Planet Hyundai Sahara sales consultant Terry Mills has been selling new and used vehicles for more than 13 years and he cannot imagine a better buy than the 2011 Equus.

J.D. Power's 2011 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) ranked the luxury vehicle first as the most appealing large premium car in 2011.

Not only is the Equus an impressive product but it also sports fascinating clientele of buyers.

"Equus buyers are generally all professionals," explained Mills. "I have sold eight of them to people who include an international commercial real estate executive, high-ranking member of the health industry along with an inventor."

Mills, one of three certified Equus sales consultants, along with Kee "Ron" Youn and Bob Higdon, said the buyers appreciate special service along with a very special vehicle. All were required to take extensive testing to reach the certification necessary to sell the Equus.

"The buyers of the Equus are usually former owners of a Mercedes, a Lexus or a BMW," Mills said. "It's nice to be able to take care of buyers who sincerely appreciate the quality of an Equus, which is literally priced at about 50 percent of most high-end vehicles."

Better yet, added Mills, the Equus comes with such an extensive warranty that he adds "almost all they will need to buy for five years is gas, glass cleaner and tires. And when it comes to service, we will pick up the car and deliver it back when the service is concluded -- and provide them with a loaner."

Like all Hyundais, the Equus comes with a 10-year, 100,000-mile power train warranty .

The 60-year-old Youn, a Korean-born eight-year veteran of the car business, has sold two Equus models at the 7150 W. Sahara location.

"One of my sales was to a Korean doctor and the other to a retired American businessman," said Youn. "They like the Equus because the car is such a good vehicle for the price. Also, the Equus measures up to every other luxury car , with more available upgrades for a far lower price and superior quality. Everyone who's seen one has been pleasantly surprised with the Equus.

"Buyers of the Equus are very intelligent and they know a good vehicle when they see one. The Equus sells itself. It is smooth and very powerful, not to mention the fact that it's a very quiet car with the No. 1 warranty in America."

The 68-year-old Higdon has also sold two Equus models. His buyers were between 60-70 years old and retired. One was formerly a doctor while the other was a former chief executive officer of a local hotel chain.

"The buyer of an Equus is looking for an upscale luxury car with comfort and the amenities that make their life easier," he said. "They want be able to sightsee and see the U.S., complete with the components this vehicle offers. The buyers know they can get to their destination trouble-free with the Equus."
