Post-debate poll has Angle up slightly

In the first poll results made public following last Thursday's Nevada Senate debate between Sen. Harry Reid and Sharron Angle, Rasmussen Reports has the Republican challenger with a 50-47 percent edge.

Angle's lead is within the poll's margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points. The poll, which was conducted Sunday among 750 likely voters, matched Reid and Angle, along with "some other candidate," which got 2 percent, and "not sure," which was at 1 percent.

A Rasmussen poll last week had Angle ahead 49-48 percent, which the pollster said was an "insignificant" lead. The new numbers suggest the debate failed to move many voters who seem to have largely made up their minds.

Rasmussen continues to declare the race a toss-up, as have other analysts.
