Titus to host workshop on foreclosure prevention

Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada's Third District will host a workshop today from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Del Sol High School, 3100 Patrick Lane. The purpose of the workshop is to provide people in the community with help and information on foreclosure prevention, loan modification, refinancing options, and expanded eligibility for certain programs.

The workshop will bring together representatives from the government, banks, and community housing and counseling organizations in order to answer questions and find solutions in an effort to keep people in their home.

Housing for Nevada offers homebuyer class

Housing for Nevada will offer a homebuyer workshop Dec. 12 at 9 a.m. at Sellstate, 2879 St. Rose Parkway. This workshop will cover homeownership education, homebuying counseling, information about down payment assistance and the new NSP Program.

This is a certified Housing and Urban Development Homebuyer Education Class for down payment assistance though the federal government. Registration is required.
