HOA educational seminar set for Wednesday
A seminar will be held Wednesday at 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas.
David Stone, president of Nevada Association Services Inc., and Jason Ekus, owner and broker with Volume Real Estate, will discuss issues related to collections, short sales, foreclosures and bank-owned properties.
Refreshments will be served by students of the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas, 710 W. Lake Mead Blvd., a nonprofit group in North Las Vegas that provides training to help develop careers in the hospitality industry.

Commercial real estate event to be held Friday
The Commercial Alliance Las Vegas will host its sixth annual Commercial Alliance Educational Symposium Friday at the Gold Coast hotel-casino.
Highlighting the event will be a lunchtime panel discussion on the future of the commercial real estate industry and its local brokerages, featuring managing directors and executives from top commercial real estate firms in Southern Nevada.
Nationally known commercial real estate instructor Patricia Lynn will conduct the morning session with local instructors teaching afternoon sessions. Professionals can earn as many as seven hours of continuing education credits by attending the classes. The day will also include a continental breakfast and a luncheon featuring the panel discussion.
