Rebel Place apartments offers student scholarships

Rebel Place, a student housing community near University of Nevada, Las Vegas, has announced that a $300 housing scholarship will be granted to 25 students who lease for the fall school year.

The facility also caters to students from College of Southern Nevada, Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Everest College and Milan Institute.

The community for students opened in 2009. Units are furnished and have private bedrooms and baths. 

Social and educational events are regularly scheduled to enrich the collegiate experience for students in the Las Vegas area.

Rebel Place offers updated amenities and an online leasing system, which gives students the option to select their own rooms and roommates or allows them to be matched up with roommates.

“We love our student residents and have really challenged ourselves to offer students an incentive to lease with us that supports their academic goals,” said property manager Michelle Swenson. “Offering a housing scholarship is something we’re proud to bring to area students while we still have a select number of units and bedrooms available for the 2013 fall semester.”

She said Rebel Place typically leases to full capacity by Aug. 15.

Rebel Place offers two-bedroom and two-bath and four-bedroom, four-bath apartments. Residents lease out the bedrooms and share the kitchen and other common areas. Leases start at $525 per bedroom per month for the four bedroom floor plan. Pricing includes sewer, water, trash, Internet, cable with HBO, and electricity after a courtesy credit check. All floor plans provide private keyed bedrooms, luxury kitchens and access to amenities.

The community has a newly upgraded 24-hour fitness center with a high-pressure tanning dome and resort-style swimming pool with poolside theater.

Students living at the complex can use the free shuttle to UNLV during the fall and spring semesters.

The clubhouse has Wi-Fi, game room with pool table, poker tables, shuffleboard, gaming stations and an outdoor grilling area.

Nonstudents interested in calling Rebel Place their home are welcome to apply for rooms as well.

“Since we are collegiate based most of our events are centered on supporting our students,” Swenson said. “But we lease to anyone who qualifies, so the residents do not need to be students.”
