Red Rock Realty sells megamansion

Red Rock Realty negotiated the sale of 5 Misty Peaks Court, a furnished desert contemporary-style estate on an elevated parcel within The Ridges Village of Summerlin. The sales price was $8.7 million overall, including $7.9 million for the home itself.

The $746-per-square-foot price is one of the highest in Las Vegas history, according to Bob Barnhart, co-owner of Red Rock Realty along with his wife, Jill.

"The Ridges has become the place to live among the elite of Las Vegas," Barnhart said. "Now that it has some sales history, it is also emerging as some of the most valuable real estate in Nevada."

Just weeks prior, Red Rock sold an estate within Southern Highlands Golf Club for $12.9 million and another along the TPC at Summerlin golf course for $9 million.

The estate at 5 Misty Peaks measures 10,311 square feet with five bedroom suites, all with their own full bath, plus three half baths and a garage of 1,421 square feet. It occupies just over half an acre with a panoramic view of the Las Vegas Valley.

Balconies, observation decks and pocket doors capitalize on the vistas from points all through the estate and open the home to its placid setting in the foothills of the valley.

An infinity-edge pool and fire features frame the grounds, which include a fire pit, indoor and outdoor bar, full outdoor kitchen and entertainment systems that include plasma televisions.

A cobblestone courtyard leads to the stunning glass front door.

Technology is integral to the home's design, which features electronically controlled drapes, a screening room, and an audio system indoors and outdoors.

Furnishings and fixtures, such as chandeliers and multiple wine refrigerators were included in the sale.

Barnhart said the sales bode well for the Las Vegas community and its real estate market.
